Emily Maynard Becomes the Next Bachelorette

 

Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, many people know Emily Maynard from the 15^th season of the Bachelor with Brad Womack. She caught the attention of many when she shared her tragic story about her famous NASCAR driver fiancé Ricky Hendrick and his passing in a deadly plane crash. Shortly after the crash she learned that she was pregnant with Ricky’s baby, which was a much needed gift from God to Emily and Ricky’s family following his death. She gave birth to a baby girl, named Josephine Riddick “Ricki” Hendrick, in June of 2005 and became a parent. Following the birth of her daughter she began to try and further her broadcast journalism career by using her connections to NASCAR. She first hosted a podcast for Speed Channel called Emily on The Scene in 2006 and then hosted a nationally televised series called Three Wide Life. Today she works for Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC as an event coordinator. The Levine hospital includes the Ricky Hendrick Centers for Intensive Care that was named after Ricky when his parents donated $3 million dollars to the Levine Children’s hospital.

While on the show, Emily from the Bachelor became a household name as she dated Brad Womack in front of millions of viewers on the 15^th Season of the Bachelor. She instantly won over many of the shows fans with her tragic story and happy ending with the birth of her daughter. Many viewers wanted to see her find love after having to endure the loss of her fiancé Ricky Hendrick. Ultimately she won the heart, and the final Rose, of Brad Womack and the show ended with a proposal of marriage. She had made plans for her and her daughter to move to Austin to join Brad Womack, but the on and off relationship ended shortly after the show in June of 2011. Currently Emily Maynard is rumored to be in talks with ABC to be the next Bachelorette, though she has denied all of the rumors.
We really hope that the rumors of Emily from the Bachelor are true because we so loved watching her week after week to see what she was going to be wearing next. With her effortlessly chic laid back style, we love seeing how she creatively accessorizes each outfit. She is said to shop at stores that we can all afford such as Target and Forever 21! But she also splurges on high end items here and there just like the rest of us! Her favorite fashion accessory is her bracelets, which we adore. And that long beautiful blonde hair, well, we’d give anything for hair like that!!! Hopefully Emily will indeed be the next Bachelorette, because we can’t think of a more fashionable sweet girl that we’d rather watch week after week to see her find the man of her dreams!
